SOLENT UNIVERSITY WORK

Video editing projects during my time working at Solent University.

Between 2019 and 2021, I worked on several projects for Solent University on a largely freelance basis. These opportunities introduced me to a number of industry professionals, including cinematographer Tim Maurice-Jones and actor Ajay Chhabra, and provided invaluable experience working in professional multi-monitor editing suites alongside a dedicated team. My work was consistently well received by clients, notably Chhabra himself.
Nutkhut & Urban BiodiversitY (2021)
A video exploring the importance of urban biodiversity, hosted by Nutkhut founder Ajay Chhabra. Edited as part of a wider project to raise awareness of local ecosystems and the need to protect them.
Nutkhut & Urban BiodiversitY - ABRIDGED CUT (2021)
A shortened, social media-friendly version of Urban Biodiversity, featuring dynamic titles and a focus on local ecosystems and their protection, hosted by Ajay Chhabra.
Nutkhut's Hidden Histories (2021)
This episode of Nutkhut's Hidden Histories explores the fate of St. George's Garrison Church during WWII and its transformation into a memorial. Featuring interviews with Joanna Lumley and Nutkhut founder Ajay Chhabra.
Nutkhut's Hidden Histories - ABRIDGED CUT (2021)
A condensed social media edit of the Hidden Histories episode, featuring dynamic titles and a shorter runtime tailored for digital audiences.
Umrao and Vimla: A Forgotten LovE (2021)
A live performance edited for the Commonwealth and Gurkha Garden Project Launch. Performed by the Nutkhut Theatre Company, the piece tells the story of WWII VC awardee Umrao Singh and his wife Vimla, with actor Riz Meedin portraying Umrao.
Cinematography: The Digital Age (2020)
An interview with cinematographer Tim Maurice-Jones, sharing insights on film and digital cameras, offering career advice and fleshing out his creative process. This collaborative effort became one of the top works from the course and continues to be showcased to new students.
